Network Automation Fundamentals
A practical introduction for network engineers who want to move away from repetitive manual tasks and begin working with structured, repeatable automation.
The course explains the foundations of network automation, including how network information is organised, how a source of truth is used and how structured data can be turned into consistent configurations.
Delegates will work through practical examples and guided exercises throughout the day. NetBox is used during parts of the training to demonstrate how network information can be structured and managed, although the principles taught can be applied across different tools and platforms.
By the end of the course, delegates will understand how a basic network automation workflow fits together and how to begin applying these ideas within their own organisation.

Network Automation Advanced
This course is for engineers who understand the fundamentals and want to build more complete automation, validation and compliance workflows.
Over three days, delegates will work through the design of a production focused automation environment. The course covers how network data is structured, how configurations are generated and how changes can be checked before and after they are introduced.
Delegates will learn how to compare the intended state of the network with what is actually deployed. They will also explore how automation can be introduced safely without losing operational control.
NetBox is used as part of the practical training, alongside common automation techniques and tools. The course remains vendor neutral and focuses on methods that can be adapted to different network platforms and organisations.
The aim is to give experienced engineers the knowledge and confidence to design automation workflows that can be used in a real production environment.

We can also deliver these courses at your office or training facility.
This allows your team to learn together in a familiar environment, using the same course materials and practical labs provided during our London courses.
On site training is charged at a fixed day rate and can be arranged for teams of different sizes. Where appropriate, we can discuss your current environment in advance and place greater emphasis on the areas most relevant to your engineers.
On site courses can be delivered in the UK or overseas, subject to availability, travel requirements and an agreed scope.
Business bookings
Our courses are open to companies and professional organisations in the UK and overseas.
A UK VAT number is not required to book. We may ask for your organisation's legal name, billing or registered address and any relevant company or tax registration details used in your country.
We may also ask for a company email address, purchase order or accounts payable contact where required.
Payment
Course fees are invoiced in pounds sterling and can be paid by UK or international bank transfer.
International customers can pay using the IBAN and SWIFT details shown on the invoice.
Customers are responsible for any bank charges, currency conversion fees or intermediary bank charges. The full invoiced amount must reach Rockwey before the booking can be confirmed.
Places are confirmed once payment has cleared.
Any applicable VAT or taxes will be shown clearly on the invoice.
Course information
Courses have a maximum class size so that every delegate receives proper support during the practical work.
Scheduled London courses require a minimum of 10 delegates to proceed. We will confirm whether a course is running no later than 10 working days before the start date.
Bookings close three working days before the course begins, subject to availability.
Delegates should wait until the course has been confirmed before making any non refundable travel or accommodation arrangements.
If Rockwey cancels a course, all course fees paid will be refunded in full. Rockwey cannot reimburse travel, accommodation or other related expenses.
